In North Carolina the real estate professional you work with must declare who they represent in the transaction. In some cases our listing agreements mandate us to be sellers agents. In other cases we are allowed to represent our buyers. When working with us assume we represent the Seller until we can sit down and determine that we can and would like to represent your interests in a transaction.
Rule of thumb: Don't tell us anything you would not tell a potential seller until we can talk over agency law and decide what you would like our relationship to be.
